The Redmi Pad 2 is designed as an affordable tablet for both entertainment and productivity. It features a premium-looking metal unibody design and is available in Graphite Gray, Mint Green, and Lavender Purple.
The device’s main highlight is its 11-inch 2.5K IPS LCD display, which offers a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a smooth 90Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate. The display also supports a 10-bit color depth, can reach up to 600 nits of brightness in outdoor mode, and is certified for eye comfort with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian Friendly ratings.
Under the hood, the Redmi Pad 2 is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra chipset, built on a 6nm process. The tablet runs on Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, which includes features like split-screen multitasking and floating windows. Both the 4+128GB and 8+256GB models support expandable storage up to 2TB via a microSD card.
The key distinction between the two models lies in their memory and storage configuration. The 4GB + 128GB version is suitable for everyday use, including media consumption and light multitasking. The 8GB + 256GB model, with its larger RAM and storage, is better suited for users who require more power for demanding apps, seamless multitasking, and storing a greater amount of data, photos, and videos.
For audio, the tablet comes with a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support, and it also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. The cameras consist of an 8MP rear sensor and a 5MP front sensor, both capable of 1080p video recording, which is adequate for video calls and casual photography.
The Redmi Pad 2 is powered by a large 9,000mAh battery that can provide up to 17 hours of video playback. It supports 18W fast charging via USB-C, although charging times can be long. The tablet also supports a stylus, the Redmi Smart Pen, which is sold separately. Both Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + 4G cellular variants are available.
